Casey Conroy
I am an Accredited Practising Dietitian and Nutritionist, Naturopath, and Yoga Teacher. My passion is helping people to free themselves from the body dissatisfaction, disordered eating, and weight preoccupation that plague our modern society, especially those who are female identifying. Mental health, neurodivergence support, and women's reproductive health are other interest areas of mine that are beautifully supported by naturopathy. I believe that we can learn a great deal about how to best care for ourselves from observing nature's cycles, from ancient traditions, and from listening to our bodies.
In my work I draw upon my childhood growing up exploring forests, picking bush foods, watching my Malaysian mum incorporate Traditional Chinese Medicine into everyday cooking and life, and exploring remote corners of Australian wilderness with my meditation-addicted dad; my past life as a veterinarian and environmental researcher; and my lived experience with and full recovery from disordered eating.
I've also worked as a university lecturer and clinical supervisor at Endeavour College of Natural Health, nutrition department. In my spare time I love to write - I'm a feature columnist for several publications and an avid blogger. I enjoy bushwalking, painting, napping, growing food, making herbal medicines, crazy living room dancing, terrible 80’s glam metal (sorry, not sorry), outdoor yoga, campfires, travel, wildcrafting, rural foraging, and exploring forest trails with my two children and partner.
